Chojuji Temple (Kita-Kamakura) (Kita-Kamakura Sta.)

A rare opening of Chojuji Temple, usually closed to the public. The Kannon Hall enshrines a Kannon statue and statues of Ashikaga Takauji and Kosen Ingen; a stone pagoda in a cave tomb at the back is said to hold Takauji's hair. Cancelled in rain.

A temple tied to Ashikaga Takauji, open to enter only in this season.

Highlights are the statue of Ashikaga Takauji in the Kannon Hall and a stone pagoda in a yagura cave at the back of the grounds, said to hold Takauji's hair.
