Kyochika's take

Three days a year when Engakuji's treasures get an airing.

Portraits of National Teachers Bukko and Muso, a Nirvana painting, and Kamakura-period documents. Works by Maruyama Okyo and Sesshu are also planned.

You can also go inside the gate of Shozokuin to see the National Treasure Shariden up close, normally off limits. These three days are good for a walk through Kita-Kamakura before the autumn leaves.
